About AIJQ
After the British rule was over there was a vacuum of power and uncertainties prevailing all through the minds of remaining Indian Muslims, who were the rulers, earlier. Under the prevailing precarious conditions a great need was felt to speed up their economic development and to regain their lost glory. So, a sense and a need was felt in 1924 by a group of Quresh Community at Delhi and Meerut to have their own organization or society to sit under-one-roof and under one-banner, in order to stand on their own feet and to find out what ailed the Quresh Community and solutions thereof? The feeling of collective power was recognized in 1905 by some well wishers of the community. In 1926-27 a grand National Conference of Jamiatul Quresh took place at Qasabpura, Sadar Bazar, Delhi headed by Bhaiya Rashiduddin Ahmad Sahab. The name of the organization was resolved as “ALL INDIA JAMIATUL QURESH” and Bhaiya Rashiduddin Ahmad Sahab was unanimously elected the first President of All India Jamiatul Quresh. In 1929 a grand Congregation and Meet of AIJQ was arranged at Meerut under the Presidentship of Janab Bhaiya Rashiduddin Saheb in order to raise the voice of Quresh Community in particular and muslims in general, to woke-them-up from their deep slumber and to create awareness and consciousness towards building up a strong, educated and affluent community and to combat the nefarious designs of alien forces , hell, bent upon keeping the Quresh Community and the muslims in general backward and on their crutches. And, the process of revival went on and gradually, picked-up the momentum and more and more people started taking interest in the welfare and upliftment of the Qureish Community. A few names of prominent personalities, are worthy of mentioning here; Hazrat Maulana Faiz Ahmed Saheb, Abdul Hameed Saheb Charbiwale, Janab Abdul Rasheed Saheb, Janab Hafiz Abdul Hameed Saheb and Janab Babu Shahabuddin Saheb and so on.
FOUNDER FATHER OF AIJQ
In the truest sense, a Freedom Fighter from the core of his heart and Founder Father of “All India Jamiatul Quresh” AIJQ Jb. Alhaj Hafiz Bhaiya Rasheeduddin Ahmed Saheb, Rayees Meerut S/o Janab Majid Bhaiya Whaeeduddin Saheb was born on 1888 i.e. 1304 Hijri, in the morning of great Abrahamic festival of Id-ul-Adha at Meerut. At the age of 11 he was “Hafiz-e-Quran”, and well-versed in Urdu literature. Apart, he was scholarly in English and Persian too. He got his primary, secondary and college education at Meerut. His concerned towards the poor condition of muslims of India and the Quresh in particular, is recorded by historians in golden words. His sincere efforts from 1905 onwards towards the impoverish and helpless conditions of Quresh Community is praiseworthy. He never overlooked the needy and meritorious students and established scholarships. He was the true example of Islamic way of life, culture and traditions. Upto 1940 he established and supervised approx. 3700 schools under the banner of AIJQ. In 1927, one British Judge had indicted the Quresh Community as a criminal community which was opposed forcefully and unitedly by one and all. He was so much lost in Quresh Community’s affairs that he never turned his back, eventhough, he was suffering from serious illness. He suffered from cancer. In 1950 he left for Bombay Tata Cancer Hospital, but he could not survive and left for his final destination on Aug. 25, 1952. During his life’s time he was admired by one and all. Further, he had strengthened the hands of Pd. Jawahar Lal Nehru, the First PM of India. His death was condoled by Dr. Rajendra Prasad the First President of India, the First PM of India and the First Education Minister of India Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and Maulana Hifzur Rahman etc.
President Message to the Community
All India Quresh Conference at Hapur, speaks a volume of President, AIJQ desire, willingness, determinations and commitments in order to change the complexion of the Quresh Community by way of educating the poor-meritorious-youths (girls & boys) and providing them scholarships, grants, donations.
